 This website shares the story of
the tragic loss of our son Michael.
January 23, 2006 was a normal day for our family. Everyone went about
their daily routine, with dad going off to work, and the kids going
off to school.
That evening, things were
as usual. We had dinner, the kids got ready for bed, and we tucked
them in and said goodnight. At 10:00 pm, however, our lives changed
forever when Troy, Michael's dad, went to check on the kids and found
Michael hanging from his bunk bed with his Tae Kwon Do belt, a result
of The Choking Game. The night never seemed to end, and the nightmare
we hoped we'd soon
wake up from didn't seem to end either.
Now, the direction God has led us
is to educate parents and young people about The Choking Game and to
encourage everyone to Make Joyful Choices, the most important of which
is to accept God's free gift of forgiveness and
salvation.
We hope this website is a good resource for you and
that you will be encouraged in your choices and the fact that God
loves you. Please feel free to contact us and also to let me know if
