Our youth are very important to us, but everyday they are facing
challenges that are much tougher than the ones we faced when we were
their age. Good friends are so important- whether church friends or
school friends- to keep them close to God and away from the temptations
of life. Camp is such a great place to make and build friendships.
Daily, our youth can be missionaries to their world- at
school and in activities outside of their church life.
As part of this “mission” we have launched (in cooperation
with New Hope Assembly of God in
Urbandale) the Michael J. Clark Be A Friend Camp Scholarship Fund. This
fund will have a two-fold purpose, and can be donated to anytime of the
year.
First,
it will be to provide our young people a camp scholarship if they
couldn’t go otherwise. Second, the fund is used to offer scholarships to
non-churched friends of our youth.
This
is truly a mission field that we need to reach, and it will bless our
kids, as well.
